A litte nerdy

Gabe and I did something a little out of the ordinary on Saturday night. We went to a murder mystery party and had the time of our lives. Gabe was assigned to go as a math nerd and I was a math team cheerleader (whatever that is???) Doesn't Gabe fit his part well? We had a blast and afterwards we decided we want to host our own sometime. More than anything, it was just nice getting out together and doing something new! Also speaking of out of the ordinary, Danielle surprised us and showed up in Utah for a visit---SO good to see her and her darling family!

Eye Openers

During dinner the other night, Hunter asked me "Mom, is Cannon nocturnal?" I had to laugh, and then I responded, "why yes, yes, he is." Interesting how observant children are. Then he says, "mom, I'm just going to call Cannon 'Bat' now, because bats are nocturnal too." Funny kid! I guess I never realized that babies could be called nocturnal!

My thoughts on Halloween costumes for kids (at least for mine anyway): I'm learning that they change their minds every day on what they want to be, so I'm procrastinating getting their costumes until right before Halloween on purpose.

Starring CANNON

Thanks to the help of my sweet sister Savannah, I have entered the blog world! I figured that it was a great time to start a blog because I have new baby to show off. George "Cannon" was born on the 21st of last month. Crazy how fast time flies after they're born---Say, how come the last days and weeks of pregnancy don't go that fast??? Cannon is doing great and growing so fast. He decided to come 6 days early. We got out of church at 5:00 and at 5:30 we went to our neighbors house for dinner and at 6:00 while we were eating, my water broke (somewhat embarassing) and my contractions started. We got to the hospital by 7:00 and Cannon was born at 8:01. It was truly incredible. We are adjusting well to four kids, although someone forgot to give Cannon the memo to sleep at night, but I'm sure he'll figure it out eventually. Now that I'm officially bloggified, I hope to be in the loop a little more. But for now, Cannon is sleeping so I guess I should be too!
